Q. What happens next? Is 1 session “enough”? Or are additional follow-ups advised? If so, how many? At what interval(s)? And by the same person?
(I feel like i would have really benefited from being able to meet with you again. I sort of feel like i began something, but then left it hanging in limbo??)
A. One sacred spot massage session is simply the beginning of a journey that you must choose to make. You must want your wholeness in every cell of your being. At essence what is happening in a sacred spot massage session is that you are learning to take in healing love through an area of your body that has never done so… an opening through which life itself comes forth. Pleasure, sex, menstruation, birth… the vagina, the Yoni, the sacred space. It draws our attention either through desire, irritation, union or perhaps, dis-ease. It is the only chakra that can be accessed at its’ core through touch. Healing massage and therapeutic touch are the intention in sacred spot massage.
Working with many lovers or practitioners is the best way to continue your journey. Teach your lovers how to give you the massage, or bring him/her to a Tantra class where you will learn it together. You are not really ‘hanging in limbo’. You are simply awaiting the next step of your journey to sexual/spiritual alignment and wholeness. Q. What can I do myself to continue the work – practice the massage myself? With a partner? What if I don’t have a partner (in my case)?
A. Yes, absolutely practice the massage yourself. Healing issues with women will more likely arise when receiving the massage from a woman. Healing issues with men will most likely come to the surface when doing the practice with a man. Q. What should I expect to experience in the days/weeks following the massage – emotionally, physically, perhaps even spiritually?
A. Every sacred spot massage will elicit a different response… some very subtle, some profound. Massaging the sacred spot is like peeling the thin layers of an onion, each layer containing a time or a memory from your past. Some layers are numb, some are ouch-like, some connected to a painful memory, some pure pleasure… Like drilling for oil, there are often layers of shale long before the release of the precious ‘oil’ (orgasmic pleasure). There is an awakening process or period of time ranging from a few weeks to a year or more. Patience, perseverance and practice will yield results.
Q. I think what threw me was, I was expecting to have a profound emotional reaction. I suppose I was expecting to confront “blockages”or “experiences” i had buried. But I didn’t. And I’m wondering did it not work? Or did I not have blockages? Or do I need lots lots more because I am so cut off from my feelings “down there”?
I was expecting to have a very forceful “aha” moment, but perhaps I did – but that it was at such a deep, perhaps cellular level that it’s
barely perceptible to me on the surface?
A. Fantastic questions! Every massage of loving intention to the sacred spot area is cumulative to its’ full awakening. There is no such thing as, “it didn’t work”. Some sessions seems pointless, disappointing, as in “nothing happened”. I assure you, something always happens, even if you don’t feel it. Final Journal Entry
When I got home from California, my processing began. All my old stuff surfaced…fear of abandonment, self-doubt, etc. It became clear that I was needing an ongoing connection with Caroline in an attempt to keep my ghosts at bay. This was not at all like me, and was very uncomfortable. I wanted to cut that cord, so to speak, and so I prayed for guidance as to why this was happening, and what to do about it.
On July 4 while on the beach watching fireworks, my ghosts appeared out of nowhere. I fell to the ground where in my depths of being, I re-lived our last session together…where I was totally surrendered in your arms of unconditional love, and where in that moment of tears, all of my ghosts had drifted away… replaced by only Love (which to me IS God).
As I lay on the sand (with my friends correctly assuming this was just a “Jodi” thing happening), the following understanding came to me, and it was clear that this was going to be the last piece/peace-ha of the puzzle. “I sent you to Caroline, one of a few here on earth who embody true, authentic unconditional Love. It was her ability to hold a space of safety and to transmit this unconditional Love that allowed you to be in a state of complete “let go”. In that state of surrender to Love, the ego (ghosts) cannot survive. And in that moment, you felt and knew that there was no separation…that you are one with Me, secure in my loving arms eternally…and that you never actually “need” anything or anyone. Real Love has no needs, fears, or attachments. When you returned home, ego was just doing its thing to try to to keep a grip on you. But now you “see”, and it can no longer prevail. I have created this game called life where One appears as two (or more)…only to have everyone ultimately realize it is all One! In this play of duality, things may appear separate, but are really All One….so no reason to fear anything, as all is always well. This is what some call the Peace that passeth all understanding. Enjoy the play, ride the waves, let the river take you. Now that you know this, you are completely free.”
